Membership in the South Atlantic Modern Language Association qualifies you to attend the annual conference and to access full text issues of South Atlantic Review; additionally, many of our awards require that the recipient be a member in good standing.
This is an excellent way to support SAMLA financially year-over-year while keeping intact your access to SAR, your ability to apply to various SAMLA awards, and the opportunity to join any of SAMLA’s committees. **SAMLA membership fees are non-refundable in all circumstances. Conference registration fees are non-refundable after the final registration deadline. All cancellations must be processed prior to the final registration deadline to receive a refund. No-show, no-cancel, and/or non-paid participants will be removed from the conference program following the final registration deadline and will be charged an amount up to and including their full registration fee plus a penalty. Participation in SAMLA to the point of the inclusion in the program (meaning that we accepted your panel, abstract, or paper) constitutes an agreement to these terms.**
